Sourav Ganguly- Dada

Sourav Chandidas Ganguly also fondly known as DADA. He was the first face of Indian Cricket who gave belief that we can win match overseas. He took the leadership role when Indian cricket had lost his spectators but he earned the trust again and rest is history. He single-handedly took the team out of infamous match-fixing controversies. He also produced some of the greatest match-winners like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Backing his team members even when they were in the worst form of their era came from Dada and that made him build the trust within his team who can do anything for their captain. A lot of memorable achievement was undertaken under his leadership. He had the best colleagues in the form of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman that believed in him and supported in his actions. One of the memorable accomplishment at Lords which is considered as Mecca of Cricket during the Natwest Series. His bare-chested celebrations after India's quite impossible win against England stays truly etched in the senses of millions of cricketing fans across the world. A year later the Indian Team also managed to reach the Final of 2003 World Cup beating strong opponents and gave fans hope to lift the cup after 1983. Although the toughest Australian Team ever didn't let Dada take the trophy home and ended up as runners up. Dada will always be remembered as the fearless captain who knew to answer the opponents in their own backyard. A leader who was always there for the team and had a low exit when he wanted to flourish more.
